The Principia Series is so named for Isaac Newton's text, "Philosophiae naturalis principia mathematica" published in 1687. "Principia" signaled the peak of Newton's career as a scientist and the culmination of the scientific revolution into which he was born. The scientist honored by this series are Newton, Einstein, Bohr, and Darwin.
